Return & Refund policies

 

Due to the nature of Factory 2nds some items in the categories of (Factory 2nd, Factory Refurbished) may have slight marks or imperfections. It is a condition of sale that the buyer must be aware that from time to time these may exist. Returns based on marks/scratches/dents or imperfections will not be accepted. You can cancel your order prior to delivery or pick up. Restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price may be charged upon the cancellation. Once delivered/picked up, there is no change-of-mind refund on sales items. If you received an item that fails within the first 14 days, we will provide a replacement warranty and a return delivery fee may apply on you.

 

Bestbuy Electrical reserves the right to test and determine if the product is mechanically faulty.Bestbuy Electrical DOES NOT offer refunds for when customers change their minds.

Layby

 

At BESTBUY ELECTRICAL, we offer a layby system which allows you to reserve your desired product (some restrictions apply) for up to 8 weeks. To kick-start your layby, we require a 20% deposit. Cancellation layby will incur a cancellation fee which will be calculated at 20% of the initial layby value.

Delivery

 

Bulky items such as fridges, TVs, washers, delivered within Melbourne metropolitan areas (40kms radius) are from $40.

 

You can also pick up these items at your nearest store for FREE.

 

Warranty

 

All products come with a manufacturer warranty. Brand new products conduct full manufactory warranty. Please ask your sales person to outline the warranty periods of each category as they may vary. It is the customers responsibility to understand these warranty terms and conditions prior to purchasing the product.

COSMETIC FINISH AND NOISE DEFECTS ARE NOT COVERED

 

This product is guaranteed against faulty workmanship for a period of 12 months from the original date of purchase.

 

Bestbuy electrical will perform the necessary home service* on the product without charge for parts and labour for Melbourne metropolitan area only (i.e. 40kms radius from CBD) within the warranty period.

WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS:

 

  1. The Warranty applies only:
    1. Within the Commonwealth of Australia.
    2. To appliances used for PRIVATE SINGLE DOMESTIC USE.
    3. To the original purchaser.
  2. Small Products or self-portable appliances such as Freezers, Wine Coolers, Dryers, Microwave Ovens, DVD /Blu-ray Players, etc. does not have Customer Home Service. The Customer needs to bring the item to the nearest physical Smart Electrical workshop or retail shop for repair if within warranty period.
  3. The purchaser will shoulder all expenses to make the appliance readily accessible for servicing. If the product is installed outside Melbourne or Brisbane metropolitan areas or is outside the 40km radius from CBD, the purchaser is responsible for the cost of transporting the appliance or its parts to and from the nearest workshop or retail shop.
  4. This warranty is the only expressed warranty given by the company.
  5. We reserve the right to determine and declare whether or not the malfunction is caused by faulty workmanship or material or whether any part is defective.
  6. This warranty shall not apply to loss as a result of non-operation or ineffective operation of the appliance or its parts that is acquired through us, where permitted by law.
  7. A proof of date of purchase together is required from the purchaser when a claim is being made.




WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS:

 

  1. If the product was not installed, maintained, or operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations for normal use and reasonable care
  2. If the product has been used in a manner other than its intended functions
  3. If the fault was caused, directly or indirectly, by use despite incomplete installation, incorrect operation, liquid spillage, incorrect voltage or main supply problems, misuse, abuse, neglect, use during thunderstorms, infestation by insects or vermin, fire, floods, acts of God, tampering, alteration, unauthorized repair, exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions, and insertions of a foreign object
  4. If the product is rented
  5. If the product is used in a commercial environment or used other than in a normal and domestic environment
  6. If the product is used outside Australia.
  7. If the identification number attached to the appliance has been altered, rendered illegible or removed.
  8. If notice of the defect has not been given to us within the applicable warranty period
  9. Light globes
  10. Paint and vitreous enamel finishes and glass
  11. Products with surfaces damaged by use of aerosols or cleaners
  12. TV cell defects
  13. If the appliance has been:
    1. subject to misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, fire or floods;
    2. connected to improper, inadequate or faulty electricity, gas, water or drainage services or intake or exhaust ducts or flues, or operated using incorrect or contaminated fuels or lubricants;
    3. installed, maintained or operated otherwise than a accordance with the instruction
    4. instruction manuals including the improper use of detergents, bleaches, cleaners or other additives;
    5. damaged by foreign objects in the appliance;
    6. serviced, repaired or altered by unauthorised electricians or repairers.


Before making a claim, comprehend first the terms and conditions of the warranty:


  1. Check and make sure that the installation of any and all power cables of the appliance is secure and properly connected, and the power switch is turned on and functioning properly.
  2. Check if the included manufacturer instruction manual is followed for the settings of the product.
  3. Check if the outlet that you are using for the appliance is indeed functional with a different appliance.


Note: You must keep the purchase receipt with this warranty card for the warranty to be valid.


If a claim has been made by the customer and is found to be excluded from the coverage of this warranty or if no faulty hardware components are found, you will be charged a standard service and an administration fee of $80.

All products advertised are limited and available only while stocks last. We reserve the right to limit purchases to normal retail quantities. Accessories in some illustrations may not be included. Variations may occur from store to store. Whilst due care has been taken in the preparation of this advertisement no responsibility will be taken for errors and omissions. All items in this advertisement are advertised in good faith to be available at time of sale. However, some unforeseen manufacturing, delivery problems or unexpected demand may result in short supply of some items. No responsibility will be taken for items not available due to circumstances beyond our control.

Products sold are sold under the terms and conditions set out by the products manufacturer. Products sold to businesses do not have the same warranty as domestic customer warranties, in many cases the warranty is void if used in any commercial application. We make no warranty that goods acquired from us over this website will meet your requirements.


Our Liability

Bestbuy Electrical Online shall not be liable in contract or in tort for any loss or damage suffered and consumer rights are limited to those set out in these Terms and Conditions and under statute. Bestbuy Electrical Online does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage however caused (including through negligence) which you may directly or indirectly suffer in connection with your use of this website or any linked website, nor to accept any responsibility for any such loss arising out of the use of or reliance on information contained on or accessed through this website. To the extent permitted by law, any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied into these terms and conditions is hereby excluded. Where legislation implies any condition or warranty, and that legislation prohibits us from excluding or modifying the application of, or our liability under any such condition or warranty, that condition or warranty will be deemed included but our liability will be limited for breach of that condition or warranty to one or more of the following:

  1. The replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods,
  2. The repair of such goods,
  3. The payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods.
To the extent permitted by law our total liability herein in respect of each event or series of connected events shall not exceed the total price paid for the purchase of products and/or services under these Terms and Conditions. The Customer shall indemnify Bestbuy Electrical Online and keep us fully and effectively indemnified against any loss of or damage to any property or injury to or death of any persons caused by any negligent act or omission or wilful misconduct of the customer, its employees, agents or sub-contractors or by any breach of its contractual obligations arising out of these Terms and Conditions. To the extent permitted by law, Bestbuy Electrical Online and customer agree that Bestbuy Electrical Online will not be liable for products not being available for use, or for data or software which is lost, corrupted, deleted or altered. Bestbuy Electrical shall not be liable to the customer for any incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages, loss of opportunity, loss of revenue, loss of profit or anticipated profit, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of goodwill, loss arising out of business interruption, loss arising out of or in connection with pollution of contamination arising out of or in connection with the purchase, use or performance of Products or services, even if Bestbuy ElectricalOnline has been advised of their possibility. To the extent permitted by law, any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance or offer, invoice or other documents or information issued by Bestbuy Electrical Online shall be subject to correction without any liability on the part of Bestbuy Electrical Online. Unfortunately no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as totally secure. Whilst we strive to protect such information, we do not warrant and cannot ensure the security of any e-mail which you transmit to us. Accordingly any information sent to us by email is transmitted at your own risk. Nevertheless, once we receive your e-mail, we will take reasonable steps to preserve the security of such information. We reserve the right to cancel, at any time before delivery and for whatever reason, an order even if we had previously accepted it.


Prices

All prices are in $AUD and inclusive of GST. Please note that delivery is at an additional cost. Prices can change and our latest price is always displayed on our website and not any third party websites.


Availability

All sales are subject to stock availability. We make all efforts to ensure all stock quantities on our website are correct. We accept no liability if the item ordered is unable to be supplied. If we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you as soon as possible using through the contact details you have supplied us. We will offer you a full refund should a product you have ordered be unavailable, not limited but including to stock count errors, damage or theft.


General

We accept no liability for any failure to comply with these terms and conditions where such failure is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we waive any rights available to us under these terms and conditions on one occasion, this does not mean that those rights will automatically be waived on any other occasion. If any of these terms and conditions are held to be invalid, unforceable or illegal for any reason, the remaining terms and conditions shall nevertheless continue in full force.
